Coaches, Hello, My name is John Hart and I am one of the assistant coaches for the Cyclones baseball organization out of Parker, for 10 U. We are a new team this year with players from Castle Rock, Parker, Franktown, Lone Tree, and Aurora. Primarily comprised of 9 yr olds playing up and early 10 yr olds. Most of the boys have come from competitive level AYL teams, including my son. We are playing AYL 10U and tournaments, I am contacting coaches for two reasons, one would be to extend the offer of scrimmages if any teams would be interested (obviously great practice and learning for the boys), and two is to see if anyone(coaches) know of any 9-10 yr olds that need a team, we need 1 ball player to round out our roster, as a couple of our boys are not available to play Sundays due to religious preferences. So we would be shorter on Sundays for tournaments, but would entertain a kid playing just league, just tournaments or tournaments and league. So if you would like to scrimmage or would know of any kids needing a team, feel free to call me or have them call me direct on my cell @ 303-434-5711 or You can also reach Warren Jablonski @303-435-1983. I look forward to meeting you all. We wish you all a wonderful season and hope to see you out on the ball fields.
Best regards !!! Take care!
John

Spring into fitness at Parker Recreation
Warm weather is right around the corner, and people’s attention is turning toward favorite outdoor activities including cycling and golf. Parker Recreation is offering several programs during the month of March that will help prepare you for the upcoming seasons.
Parker Recreation’s Two Hour Cycling Challenge got such a positive response for February that the Fitness Division scheduled three additional dates for March. During this two hour spinning class your instructor will take you on a journey simulating a ride through Colorado’s scenic high country. Riders should come early to set-up and be ready to ride the full two hours. Bring extra water and snacks, plus a towel or two! You may also want to bring an extra jersey.
Two Hour Cyling Challenges are scheduled on Sunday, March 2, Sunday, March 9 and Saturday, March 15 from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Parker Recreation Center. Riders may sign up in advance by calling 303.841.4500 or by stopping at the front desk. These rides are included in your membership or daily admission fee.
For golfers, core strength and balance are the keys to a controlled, powerful, consistent swing. Parker Recreation is offering a Core Strength for Golfers class March 3 to 24. The class meets Mondays for four weeks from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. at the Parker Recreation Center. Instructors Tim Kilduff and Becky Baron will use resistance training, fitballs and Pilates techniques to build your core. Cost for this course is $44 for Parker residents, $49 for non-residents. Participants may register online at www.ParkerRec.com. Click the online registration button and search with keyword golf.
For youth who want to get in peak performance condition for spring or summer sports, or who just want to get in better shape, Parker Recreation has two sessions of Youth Sports Conditioning starting the first week of March. Kids ten to 12 years old will work with personal trainers twice per week for six weeks to improve their speed, agility, core strength, balance and flexibility. Sessions are from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, or on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost for Youth
Sports Conditioning is $40 for Parker Residents, $45 for non-residents. Register online at www.ParkerRec.com, using youth sports conditioning in your keyword search.
For additional information on any of the above programs, contact Fitness and Wellness Coordinator Hillary Roemersberger at 303.805.3278 or hroemersberger@parkeronline.org.
